What does the reclining Buddha pose represent?
It depicts the Buddha at the end of his life, entering final nirvana. The reclining posture is distinct from a sleeping pose.
Where should I place a Buddha figure?
Many Buddhists consider it respectful to place a Buddha on a raised surface, such as a shelf, table or altar, ideally at or above eye level, rather than on the floor, in a bathroom or as a doorstop.
