Like the rectangular heaters in the range, it holds a burning palo santo stick rather than incense; the dish catches ash and embers as it burns down.
Good to know
What shape is this heater and how does it differ from the rectangular ones?
This one has a curved teardrop-shaped base rather than the rounded rectangle used on the other palo santo heaters in the range; both work the same way.
What is the yin and yang design based on?
It's the Chinese symbol of balance between complementary opposites, linked with Taoism.
