Questions and answers
Can I burn backflow cones in an ordinary incense holder?
They are made for backflow burners. Several packs say to use them only with a backflow incense burner, where the smoke flows down rather than up.
How do I get the waterfall effect?
Light a cone and place it in the hole of the backflow burner. One pack advises burning indoors with no draughts for the best effect, and always on a mat.
How many cones are in a pack?
Aromatica and Aromatika packs hold 10 cones, Aromatherapy and Mythical packs 12, Biofresh boxes 40, and the 500g boxes about 225, with each of those cones about 3cm high.
What are backflow cones made of?
It depends on the range. Aromatica cones list wooden powder, joss powder, perfume, aroma oil and guar gum, and the 500g boxes list wood powder, joss powder, colours and synthetic fragrances. The Biofresh Arabian Jasmine cones are charcoal-free.
