How long does an incense cone burn?
The packs of about 15 cones, such as Bamboo, Citronella and Lemongrass, and Dragons Blood, list roughly 20 minutes per cone.
How do I light an incense cone?
Light the tip with a match, lighter or taper and wait for it to glow. Then blow out the flame and let the cone smoulder in a holder.
What is the difference between incense cones and backflow cones?
An ordinary cone smoulders in a holder and the smoke rises. Backflow cones are made for backflow burners, where the smoke flows downwards, and several packs say to use them only with a backflow incense burner.
Do the cones come with a holder?
Some do. The Bamboo, Citronella and Lemongrass, and Dragons Blood packs include a metal holder. For the rest, pick a cone holder from the incense holders collection.
Can I buy incense cones in bulk?
Yes. The Indian bulk boxes hold about 850 cones for £30.95, and backflow cones come in 500g boxes of about 225 for £15.95.
