A glossy black ceramic backflow incense burner shaped like a small mountain range, on a plain white background.

Incense & burners

Smoke that falls, not rises.

Backflow burners, incense sticks and cones, and the oil burners that go alongside them, gathered in one place.

Backflow burners

Light the cone, blow it out, and the smoke pours down instead of up. A hollow column under the burner channels the cooled, heavier smoke downward, so it flows like a waterfall rather than rising into the room.

Sticks or cones

Sticks need a holder and drop ash as they burn. Cones need a fireproof dish and burn down to nothing. The easiest mistake is buying a regular cone for a backflow burner: the same scent is often sold as both, so it's worth checking before you light it.
